Hatha Yoga with Anusara Elements
Asana, Pranayama, Meditation
ANUSARA YOGA
An integrated approach to yoga practice that unites the depth of human spirituality with the precision of biomechanics. This style of Hatha Yoga celebrates life and considers the body a sacred instrument of alignment and reconnection with the Divine.
This practice is grounded in a deep knowledge of bodily alignment, expressed in the “Five Universal Principles of Alignment,” which make it highly effective on a therapeutic and transformative level for the body, while at its foundation lies a philosophy that recognizes the sacredness of every being in its totality — body, mind and spirit — celebrating the uniqueness and intrinsic beauty of each person.
ASANA, PRANAYAMA, MEDITATION
A practice in the Anusara style that places greater emphasis on breathing and meditation techniques, with a slightly reduced focus on the physical aspects, allowing a deeper connection with body, mind and spirit.
YIN YOGA
Yin Yoga is a slow, relaxing style of Yoga that focuses on the body’s connective tissue, such as ligaments, tendons and fascia. In this discipline the Asanas are held for a longer period of time than usual, generally from 2 to 5 minutes; Yin Yoga aims to stimulate and balance the free flow of Prana (or rather, Qi) among the Chakras, healing the Meridians and organs, while calming the emotional state and offering a state of overall wellbeing.
