Postural Pilates classes consist of a “set of exercises” aimed at improving joint mobility, reducing pain, restoring the body’s alignment and toning all the muscles.
These exercises will be done both with body weight alone and with small equipment (light weights, resistance bands, ankle weights, sticks, soft balls).
Each session generally includes:
- Warm-up: we begin with stretching exercises to prepare the body for the work as a whole.
- Joint mobility exercises: slow movements to improve joint mobility (exercises to “open” the shoulders, etc.)
- Muscle toning exercises: focused on strengthening the whole body, with particular attention to the core muscles (abdominals, glutes, back, inner thighs).
This is a type of activity suitable for all ages and fitness levels, as the exercises can be adapted to the individual abilities, needs and requirements of each participant.
