Once Upon a Time There Was a King: Alice and the Shamanic Journey

Since its origins, mankind has aspired to give meaning to its own life. This understanding happens gradually, experience after experience, from the moment we manage to transcend the boundaries of our own “ego-based” reality and open ourselves to the deep truth hidden within each of us.
The search for this truth, more or less consciously, is filling the life of each of us with meaning. Many, however, give up along the way, unable to find that “thread of Ariadne” that could lead them to their own deep sense of self, and live pretending that their life satisfies them; others, instead, dedicate themselves entirely to this search. They are the Parsifals, the Herculeses, the Pinocchios, the Semolas, the heroes who, through their commitment, open the way for everyone else, waiting for the time to mature for them too to find the courage to question themselves and to try.
Fairy tales and myths are some of these threads of Ariadne that some giant of the past has left for us, modern people, to recover that wisdom and that knowledge which could allow us to become KINGS of our own reality again.
The fairy tale tells us who we are and helps us understand at which point of our growth journey we are passing through, or in which phase of the “game” of our life we are stuck.

The event “Once upon a time there was a… king” aims to intrigue the listener and open them up to an extraordinary new perception of reality… through emotion. Emotion is in fact the way our deep unconscious reacts to this new awareness. Following and giving voice to that emotion means opening ourselves to the transformation of who we are, learning to observe the reality we live in.
The moment we “observe”, through emotions, the events of the fairy tale characters, our lives are transformed into “timeless” events and we manage to grasp the overall design of everything.
Every event, in fact, has its perfect “place” in the design of reality.
The seminar takes inspiration from fairy tales to tell of us and our experiences.
The message of fairy tales is extremely direct and clear; you just need to pay attention to the details that make the story told a mirror of our own life.
During the meetings, fairy tales are used to guide the listener toward a new perception of reality, as well as to teach them to get in touch with their own deepest emotions and to learn to welcome them.

Once upon a time there was a king is a multimedia event featuring stories, images, videos and many opportunities for hands-on experience, to “really” immerse yourself in the emotions suggested by the proposed fairy tales.
During the seminar, about 40 fairy tales are presented and analyzed.
Each meeting develops around a dominant theme that is explored through specific fairy tales and practical meditations

The theme of this first meeting will be “Alice in Wonderland and the Shamanic Journey”

The fairy tale of Alice is a wonderful metaphor for the journey into the unconscious. Chasing the white rabbit, the girl enters a magical world animated by all her most intimate and deepest parts. In every tradition there exists the myth of the journey into the underworld (a symbolic representation of the unconscious) in which the deep transformation of the self takes place and the return to the world happens with a higher state of consciousness; think of Dante, Orpheus and Aeneas.

In Wonderland, Alice meets her power animal and undergoes an inner evolution that will allow her to return to reality completely transformed. Alice’s journey, in shamanic tradition, is called the journey into the lower world. Shamanic cosmogony includes three worlds: the middle world, which is the one we live in daily, the upper world populated by masters and angelic figures, and the lower world inhabited by animals. Today’s meeting will allow you, with the help of the drum, to enter, like Alice, into this extraordinary dimension and contact your deepest and purest part. You will have the opportunity to meet new travel companions, the totem animals, who will support you in your process of inner evolution and show you parts of yourself that you have never known and that will surprise you.
