We’ve always been led to believe that approaching theatre means memorizing lines, learning to perform them as well as possible, and putting on a show. But for me, approaching theatre isn’t that, or at least, it isn’t mainly that.
For me, doing theatre means going deep, digging into a part of ourselves we don’t want to see, letting ourselves feel emotion, leaving the room different from how we entered it.
For me it means leaving a mark, it means feeling, it means writing, it means listening to yourself, understanding yourself, talking to yourself, looking at yourself.
What I’d like to do is give you a moment of emotion and of getting to know yourself, through music, writing, and some exercises that are not only physical but also emotional.
We will always talk at the start and at the end of each class.

Rebecca

My name is Rebecca. Ever since I was little, my dream has always been to become an actress, and every day I work hard trying to reach that goal… even though, as I always say, the goal is nothing but the whole journey we take along the way. I have always loved teaching, I have always had a soft spot for disability, and my heart grows bigger when I see that we can all do the same things, or at least try to. So for several years now I have been teaching Theatre, organizing workshops, traveling, and also working at school as a communication assistant (ASCO); I speak Italian Sign Language and work with deaf people.
I miss putting on shows the way I used to do until not long ago, but what I’m receiving right now from these other artistic branches is truly wonderful.
I’m half Abruzzese and half Apulian, and an arrosticino or a panzerotto usually tends to show up during some of our workshops.
