Postural Pilates classes consist of a “set of exercises” aimed at improving joint mobility, reducing pain, restoring body alignment, and toning the entire musculature.
These exercises are carried out both freehand and with the use of small equipment (light weights, resistance bands, ankle weights, sticks, soft ball).
Each session generally includes:
- Warm-up: starting with stretching exercises to prepare the body for the overall work.
- Joint mobility exercises: slow movements to improve joint mobility (exercises to “open” the shoulders, etc.)
- Muscle toning exercises: focused on strengthening the whole body with particular attention to the core muscles (abdominals, glutes, back, inner thighs).
This is a type of activity suitable for all ages and fitness levels, since the exercises can be adapted to each participant’s individual abilities and needs.
